But here’s the important part: Wool covers need to be lanolized to become water-resistant.

They don’t come pre-lanolised, so unless you already have lanolin at home, you’ll need to grab some to treat your cover before use. Lanolising creates a waterproof barrier while still allowing airflow, which is what makes wool covers so amazing.
